The Romans Road

God loves you.  Loves you so much that He gave His one and only Son that you might have eternal life.  John 3:16 tells us ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.”  Now that’s love folks.  He loves the hot mess you are right now, no matter what your sins are.  Think about that for a second.  The creator of the world, the one who placed the stars in the heavens, the earth on it’s axis and breathed life in the nostrils of man loves you!  That’s something to rejoice about, a reason to shout, a reason to believe.

Now that you believe that, what are you going to do about it?  Might I suggest taking the Roman’s Road.  The what you ask?  The Roman’s Road to salvation, God’s entire gift to you, His plan for your salvation, is laid out in the book of Romans.  Allow me to lead you down this ancient, well traveled road where many have gone before.  I won’t say the road won’t be rocky at times – it will be – I can promise though that once you start down it that same God who created you will never, ever leave nor forsake you.  He will be right there with you walking beside you, even carrying you if the going gets too hard, till you reach the other end.  Won’t you join me on this road?

But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8)

…as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, …
(Romans 5:12)

for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
(Romans 3:23)

For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)

that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 5:21)

… if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(Romans 10:9-10)

for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(Romans 10:13)

Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
(Romans 5:1)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(Romans 1:16)

Now you know the truth so please don’t wait another second to take your first steps onto the Roman Road.  It’s the hardest first step you ever take but the greatest journey you will ever undergo.  Simply pray to God admitting you are a sinner, confess you know you can’t save yourself and ask him to save you.  He will  and I look forward to meeting you on the road…
