My Help cometh…

I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come? My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; he shall keep thy soul. The LORD shall keep thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for evermore.
(Psalms 121:1-8)

Yea, this.  This Psalm is one of my favorites. My help does come from God.

Without Him, I am nothing.  I was nothing.  I was utterly lost, broken, hopeless, frightened, bitter, angry, dejected, worthless, nothing.  But that’s not how the God who created the heavens and the earth saw me.  After all He’s the same God who created me as well. He saw a work in progress, someone perfectly imperfect, a lost sheep in need of a shepherd, His child whom He loves.  And because He loves me, He can and will keep me.  Nothing will snatch me from His hand now that I am His.  Nothing.  Not powers or principalities, not even death.

Think about that.  Because we believe, truly believe, He is able to keep us.  That’s hope and power right there.  That’s love.  Pure and true.  That’s God, the Lord, my Savior.  I rest on His shoulders.

    I was curious if you ever thought of changing the
    structure of your site? Its very well written;
    I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a
    little more in the way of content so people could connect with
    it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only
    having 1 or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

      Thanks for visiting and commenting, I appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll continue to visit in spite of my limited pictures. My site is to share about the need for Jesus in our lives, his great eternal love for us to the point that He suffered and died to free us from our sins and restore us to rightness with God thus giving us eternal life as a free gift for the taking. It’s about sharing His wondrous grace and mercy with all who are lost without it and helping those who rest secure in it to grow stronger in their walk with the Lord, thus bringing honor and glory to His precious name. I add pictures in most posts frequently but do not want them to take away from the message of the Gospel and Scripture so I try to find a balance between the two, some posts have more images than others, some such as this one are mostly pictures and even have videos. However there will always, generally be more text than pictures I think, the text is where the meat is, the pictures and videos are just to highlight or accent key points or verses.

    I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought
    this post was good. I do not know who you are but definitely you’re going to a famous blogger if you aren’t already ;
    ) Cheers!

      You’re too kind. I can’t take any of the credit though, I just write what the good Lord lays on my heart. I figure He knows what I need to say and I trust Him to give me the words to say it. On my own I couldn’t do this. Thanks for visiting and God bless.

    Hello! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for
    this website? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
    I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
