Strength

I was reading through a few Psalms tonight for encouragement as I prepared to post when 46 really hit me.  As we draw closer each day to the time of the end, the return of our Savior conditions here get worse.   Whether it is the now daily terrorist attacks and wars, the degeneration of society from a strong moral code to a do what thou wilt world, the rapid increase of technology resulting in man and machines playing gods, the open acceptance of evil for good and good for evil.  Then there are the increased trials, tribulations, and persecutions of true Christ followers around the globe.  As his time grows short I believe ole slewfoot will attack the true church trying with all he can to damage our testimony, destroy us as witnesses.  Cause he knows that once the Church, the body of Christ, is raptured our witness and walk in these final days will be what those left behind recall.  If our walk is more of a crawl, if we are weakened with burdens and struggles even succumbing to the flesh in sin  then it will make it that much easier to sell the world on his lies.   So, it is easy to see that we are drawing up to the end of time as we know it, the return of Christ as the conquering King who will vanquish evil and set up His promised kingdom.  Just remember whose you are brothers and sisters, put your faith and trust in his hands and renew yourself daily to serve him humbly with all you are.  Let us also remember to always pray for one another that we may walk strong in the power of the Lord bringing honor and glory to him with our every step, until the day he calls us home let us serve God with all we are for:

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, and though the mountains be moved in the heart of the seas; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariots in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah  Psalms 46:1-11
