Paul Taught Us All

I spend Sunday’s teaching the littles at the big “Church” about the gospel of God’s grace that we are saved through believing in the finished cross work of Christ alone and about rightly dividing the word of Truth. None of their families get it, they are religious and place certain works as playing a role in earning and keeping salvation. And none even know what 2 Timothy 2:15 even says as they read every Bible “version” but the KJB they all seem to think it means to properly “handle” God’s Word by making it say what ever they want. But I have an opportunity to teach these precious little ones God’s way to study His Word and understand it while they are little and have then memorize some key passages and doctrines early then when they trust Christ by placing their faith in His faithfulness and the sufficiency of His payment for their sins by His death burial and resurrection the they will already have a solid foundation upon which to build. That means I will be teaching them this song that helps make it clear what it means to rightly divide the word of Truth.

The Lifeguard

was given for those who are lost in sin, He shed His precious blood on Calvary so that they could win, they just have to accept the free gift of grace He is offering them by believing in their hearts that he died for them and confessing with their mouths (that just means tell Him you do!)  It is that easy and He has already done all the work, we just have to believe, for we are all sinners guilty before God and we are all lost and can not swim unless we are covered by the redemptive blood of Christ Jesus.  Enjoy this song this Sabbath and if you are drowning the take the Lifeguards hand!

Words I Never Want To Hear

I have thought lately about things I never want to hear. One is Jesus say “depart from me, I never knew you.” Another is what this gripping song is about; that one day I will be a spectator at the judgement seat of Christ and I will see someone I should have witnessed to, should have shared the truth of His love, sacrifice, grace and mercy to but I didn’t. That as they are about to be cast into that lake of fire they will be permitted to say to me “You never mentioned Jesus to me.” That for that moment I will know that their blood is on my hands, their soul was eternally damned because I didn’t share the hope that fills me with them, that I left them in the darkness of this world without sharing the light of Christ.

The song I used in this video is “You never mentioned this Jesus to me” by the Marshall Family.

Let us always have His precious quick upon our lips as we go about sharing the Gospel of Salvation through the shed blood of Christ for the remission of sins.

Sometimes I can feel the Devil trying to keep me from God, trying to drag me back into sin, ruin my walk and testimony.   At those moments I grab a Bible, turn on some spirit filled music, bow my head in prayer then look up and say “Not today Devil!”  I look to my God and Savior and rest secure knowing that God created Satan and one day he’s gonna send ole Slewfoot to hell where he belongs, I’ve read the end of the book – We Win!

Here’s a few of the songs I play to keep my eyes and heart focused on the Lord.

The Struggle Is Real

Today was my weekly women’s bible study and let me tell you the whole time it was as if ole Slewfoot was trying to hinder our time together.  From making each activity take longer than it should have to a spirit of darkness and dare I say evil working in one of the ladies to the point that things got really weird and awkward really fast.  I won’t go into details but today’s study time had us fighting the Deceiver the entire day.  Of course God would never allow that to be the crowning moments of the day so as the evening wore on He showed up in ever greater and more magnificent ways, from simple moments of understanding and insight to answers to heart prayers and cries to the rebuking of a sister who was out of line.  It was a day that drove home the meaning of this song.
